Upon completion of the Schematic Design, the next set of drawings begin to illustrate all site components to be constructed. Exterior areas are further enlarged in plan and initial construction details are developed. Typically, site elements include the following:

  • Pavement types, patterns and materials are selected
  • Grading and drainage patterns are outlined
  • Landscape planting materials are selected
  • Exterior hardware, furniture and signage are selected
  • Exterior site lighting is selected and positioned
  • Irrigation system is outlined
  • Construction cost estimates are refined
